Gravis UltraSound MAX Rev 1.8

The one Thorin gave to me back in 1997.
The one I used for all my GUS-based demoscene releases.
It was the champion for tracker music back in the day.

Serial Number is K105319.
Revision is 1.8 and I think it has 1MB RAM.

For those interested, a blog tells a little of the commercial side of the Gravis sound cards history (comments are worth reading).

As described in [https://retronn.de/imports/gus_config_guide.html](retronn.de Gravis Ultrasound Configuration Guide), MEGA-EM can not load with more than 64MB memory installed because of an EMM compatibiliy problem (unable to expand servers page directory).

I faced this problem in the OpitPlex when I upgraded the ram up to 96MB RAM (2x32MB + 2x16MB). I came back to 2x32MB EDO RAM and MEGA-EM could load again...

My current setup is:

• Setup version 4.11 with ULTRINIT vXX, SBOS vXXX, MEGA-EM vXXX
• JP3 jumper set to disable the CD-ROM interfaces
• JP1 jumper set to base port address 240 (ON ON OFF ON)
• ProPatches 1.61 for MIDI instruments
• CD-ROM Data IRQ and DMA are disabled (JP12 & JP10/JP11 - all set to OFF)
• Mega-Em vXX.XX emulates the following sound devices:
  • Roland MT-32/LAPC-I
  • Roland Sound Canvas/General MIDI
  • Roland MPU-401 MIDI interface
  • Sound Blaster (8-bit Basic version only - not Sound Blaster Pro)
• SBOS/MaxSBOS vXX.ZZ emulates SB Pro 8bit and AdLib FM synthesis
